Summer Solstice Ritual
Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year because the Earth’s tilt is now closest to the Sun. When we follow the Astronomy calendar this is when Summer begins in the Southern Hemisphere.
In Celtic tradition, people will gather at specific sites on the Earth where structures have been built in accordance with the movements of the Sun. These mystical stones and structures capture the beauty and magic of our cosmic relationship, as the Sun rises at the exact moment the Earth is tilted closest to the Sun.
A SIMPLE RITUAL TO HONOUR THE SOLSTICE
Get up and watch the Sunrise and reflect on 3 things you are grateful for. Take a walk in nature or a swim in the ocean to enjoy the first morning light that touches your skin.
This simple act will have a profound effect on your mood, hormones and the feeling of being connected to natures cycles and seasons.
When you awaken to the magic of the cycles, you will intrinsically feel connected to your own cyclical nature and inner power, just as your ancestors did.
Solstice blessings my little witches.
With Love
