Are you journalling the right way?

There are many ways to approach your journal and reflection time, and it depends on what kind of person you are. Are you a 'thinker', a 'feeler', or you just 'know'.

How to journal if you are:

✞ THE THINKER, or overthinking:
You will get a lot out of writing your thoughts on paper. This will create space for your mind and give you a tangible idea of what is going on in your head. You can then write down what thoughts you would prefer to have. Visualise them and repeat them in your mind three times so you understand what you to focus on from now on.

✞ THE FEELER, or overwhelmed:
You may like to draw your feelings on paper. This means you can creatively express yourself. Draw a body and colour in the areas you feel a sensation or e-motion. Or colour the paper with scribbles or circles or what ever takes you. This can help you understand what you are feeling. You could then write down or draw the feelings you would like to reach for and what you need to do in order to get there e.g walk in nature, take a bath, sleep.

✞ YOU JUST KNOW:
If you are an embodied kinda gal, then writing in your journal may not suit you. You may like to sit for a longer period of time and capture the sense you get when you receiving an insight or knowing. Breathing slowly, moving slowly and speaking to somebody you trust, may be the best way to integrate you what have experienced.

Which one do you think you are?
